Going to Gillette for Inter Miami CF Revolution match? MBTA offering $10 roundtrip ticket

It's a chance to see one of the greatest soccer players of all time, Lionel Messi, without having to leave New England. And as the 2022 World Cup Champion has a relatively short contract with the team, it could be a relatively rare event.
Which is why, the sellout match is expected to set a new single-game attendance record at Gillette Stadium for the Revolution.
And it's why if you're one of the people with tickets to the big game, you might want to start thinking about how you're going to get there.
It's a recipe for a traffic jam. Fortunately, the MBTA Commuter Rail and Keolis have presented another option.
MBTA Special Event Train for New England Revolution and Inter Miami CF Match
A $10 round-trip ticket on the MBTA Commuter Rail is on sale now for people looking to avoid game day traffic. Tickets must be bought on the mTicket app and will likely sell out before game day. No refunds or exchanges will be available.
The special event train will run from both South Station and Providence.
Here are the times for South Station:
- Depart South Station: 5:25 PM
- Depart Back Bay: 5:30 PM
- Depart Dedham Corporate Center: 5:50 PM
- Arrive at Foxboro Station: 6:25 PM
Here are the times for the Providence train.
- Depart Providence Station: 5:20 PM
- Depart Pawtucket/Central Falls: 5:26 PM
- Depart Attleboro: 5:40 PM
- Depart Mansfield: 5:50 PM
- Arrive at Foxboro Station: 6:30 PM
What time will the MBTA special event train leave after the match?
The trains will depart Foxboro Station 30 minutes after the match end, according to the MBTA.
What can you bring on the train?
Train passengers have to comply with the stadium’s Clear Bag Policy, according to the MBTA. Anything not in compliance can't be brought on the train.
Additionally, no personal items may be left on the train during the match.
